How can we improve our products?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

    Schedule Downloads like dayly between 10:00 and 11:00. so we dont have to poll the whole day when just awaiting mails in the morning

  3. Improve the run script and command features - All Run Script Once Every DOWNLOAD

    Currently you guys allow us to run a script or command for every attachment or every email. But what happens when I have a script that is designed to process all the downloaded attachments is that MAD will run that script/command for every email, and the (custom) script/command is such that it parses each attachment and loads it as a record in a DB right after that email's attachments are all downloaded. But since MAD kicks the script off again for the next email, the script fails because the DB is locked up, by the other already running script. So…

  4. watermark or Stamp

    I want to add Watermark or a Stamp to the downloaded file in pdf - I have
    several mailbox to download from and need to see on the printout page from
    wich maxibox its come

  5. Yahoomail

    Hi. Just wanted to let you know the procedure for Yahoo Mail. According to your 'Mail Attachment Downloader - How To' at https://gearmage.com/maildownloader_howto.html#settings, to access Yahoo Mail, the user is advised to use/generate app password. However, as of 2018 (at least in my Yahoo Mail account), Mail Attachment Downloader can login to the Account if 'Allow apps that use less secure sign-in' is enabled in Yahoo Account Security :)

  6. Print file

    I print to a pdf printer driver wich add a stamp and save it - but with at "Mail Attachment server" + saved filename.

    Add parameter to the Print file properties what take care of "Mail Attachmment server" + filename - to be able to print to the physical printer

    Delete file - add parameter who take care of the "Mail attachment server" - other wise the appz cannot delete the file.

    The best of the above Wass to keep the orginal saved filename all way against the appz.

  7. Filter relative to current date

    I would like a filter for date that is relative to current date. For example, to filter out all mails with date older than 30 Days from today.

  8. Support fot for HEIC

    With Apple adding HEIC image formats to IOS 11, we cannot convert what appears to be a more common image format to PDF as we combine images from email. Would like to add HEIC as one of the image formats Mail Downloader can convert like the other image formats.

  9. Filter wizard captures email details to be used for filter

    It would be great if there was some way I can drag & drop an email into MAD or forward an email to it so it can capture the subject, sender, receiver and attachment name. That's the bulk of my filter needs.

  10. Add date/time column in the Current Status

    When filter performance is questionable or I see an email that has yet to be addressed, it would be nice to look see in a column of the Current Status a time stamp of the last sweep.

  12. Email notification options after processed

    Email notification options after processed: Flagging, Category ,etc. After an email has been processed in a Folder that multiple people have access to, it would be informative for others to know that files from those emails have been stripped. If a colored flag, or the ability to create a category name could be included, this would help indicate to others actions already taken with a particular email.

    We should be able to rename a email with a name instead of email id.
    for example rename akshay2000@anyone.com as only Mumbai

  15. Add a check box to UNcheck all folders

    First, let me say that this is a VERY GOOD product. It is simple and it works. Thank you.

    Idea for improvement -
    At times, I have checked a dozen or so folders to download. Later, I may only want to download ONE.
    As it stands, I must UNcheck all those checked and then check the one I want.
    I'd rather UNcheck all, then check only one or two that I want

  17. Read files from disk or from FTP server

    I saw GearMage can read a link from e-mail and download from HTTP.
    In our setup, we have 2 main files entry point:
    a) Via IMAP e-mail (that's ok, GearMage already support that)
    b) via FTP

    Would be nice if I can read files from disk or from FTP server and apply some rules same way I can do for e-mail attachments (for example, unzip, upload to database, etc).

  19. splitting email reply and quoted text

    is it possible to split the email to replied content and original quoted text, by this we can reduce the storage required by setting up a link to quoted text from the original sent email
